Our first story begins with Uncle Butch – known to his family as the relative whose desserts and treats stole the show. In the early 2000s, Uncle Butch began selling his renowned confections at local farmers markets, fairs, and community events in his native Pennsylvania. As popularity grew, Uncle Butch went mobile and traveled up and down the east coast - sharing his confections for all to enjoy, soon becoming a favorite sweet shop for thousands of fans.

 Years later, Butch and his handmade fudge relocated to Florida, where he continued selling at local markets and quickly built a new following. He then took the bold step to sell his fudge online – starting with eBay and quickly moving to Amazon. Suddenly, Uncle Butch’s Fudge reached customers across the country, turning market regulars on the east coast into devoted fans nationwide.

The next generation of candy makers Bill lovingly trained continues to produce the southern classics Uncle Butch, Old South Candy & Bill crafted over decades, expanding into new and exciting flavors while maintaining these old-fashioned favorites. Thanks to the beautiful Smoky Mountains and the millions of visitors welcomed every year, the combined Uncle Butch’s Fudge and Old South Candy brand is known across the United States.
