The nuts are bitter tasting.

The black walnut fudge was my favorite of the four flavors I ordered from Uncle Butch. It was reminiscent of the fudge my mom made, using black walnuts grown on my grandparents' farm in southern Kentucky. Black walnuts have a distinctive pungent taste and smell, in a good way, that gives fudge a unique and highly discerning palate.

I’ve been looking for this kind of fudge (made in house with a special mix of ingredients that makes it super fudge) for a long time since I’ve only found similar fudge once on a farm shop in upstate New York. When I saw the flavor list I knew this was the place to go to now. The fudge is soft, fresh and delicious and the walnuts are high quality. We love it and I will be a returning customer!

This is the one I am disappointed in. They are not black walnuts, they are using regular walnuts. Every other flavors I tried were wonderful. Overall this tasted ok, just not authentic IMO
